Are you planning ahead or doing some online research?
Researching for insight and help online is why most people land on my site. I know this because Google Analytics shows me that 92.04% of the 3,299 users here last month were new to my site. And they viewed over 5,900 pages.
I understand that you are searching too. Hopefully, one of my posts can answer your question or teach you a thing or two. All are informative, and please understand, there may be some humor involved. After all, I am in and out of people’s homes every day and helping clients negotiate offers, so, I am learning too.

Our competitive market requires today’s home buyers to utilize many resources. It is a tough market out there, so let’s get you ready to be a player.
About half of my business is helping people relocate or move to Northern Virginia. Most haven’t lived here before and have specific questions. This is a very attractive place thanks to vibrant economic activity, excellent schools, many hospitals, international airports, and the life and culture of Washington D.C. In fact, once you have moved here you will have friends constantly visiting. But real estate here is expensive, commute times can be tough, and having an insider guide you can make the house you find be a good place to call home.
Let me be upfront here and tell you: I’m not a mortgage guy. But, this one piece of the puzzle has become much more complicated and can screw up your transaction if you don’t have some guidance. Even if you have gotten a mortgage before, last ushered in a new era for lenders that, unfortunately, can make your life miserable.
Northern Virginia has a wide range of new homes available ~ from custom built homes in Vienna or McLean, luxury condos in Arlington, town homes at MetroWest, to country homes in Purcellville. The new home market here is diverse and the key factors will be price, location, and style of home. The other big issue is the supply of available homes because the demand has increased over the past three years.
A big question people who are relocating here ask is about lifestyle. I admit that I am not at the Kennedy Center very often, but it is only fifteen minutes from my house! Recently when my daughter’s friend visited here from Boston, we headed to the Udvar-Hazy Smithsonian Museum and saw Shuttle Discovery. Again, fifteen minutes away. It will depend on what you want and this section will continue to expand with the help of some local guest bloggers.
