Home Seller with the FLU?

As we admired the gourmet kitchen in an Ashburn townhouse, I suggested heading upstairs to check out the bedroom level since the listing boasted about the luxurious master bath.

this could be the house ~ I thought

“And this is the Master Bedroom…” I professionally explained.

“get – out!” I heard meekly from the bed.

“I’m sick… and have the flu.”

This is a true story, but one that I think about every flu season. Disturbing, yes?

  1. OMG! I hate when that happens.. Actually, even when it’s not the flu. I hate walking in on people who are in the house. i knock or ring the doorbell and shout, “Is anyone home?” more than once when I use the lockbox to gain entry. Then I walk in on someone snoozing on the couch or in the bed like this blog post mentions. It’s embarrassing and it pretty much guarantees that the house will not sell, at least to that buyer.

You should absolutely put the house into “temporarily off the market” status until you’re well enough to get out of the house and let someone who might want to buy it some “room” to look through it.
